I was going thru the dvd's in the waaaay back of the pile and came across this film, which I remember as being at least entertaining. I went looking to see if there had been a remastered version yet, and I think it's on the JS list (don't hold your breath, I know) but found that there was a Korean dvd of this with english subtitles, and was wondering if anyone else here had happened to see that version, and could tell about the quality.
Thanks.

JS has actually already put it out... on vcd! So whether there'll be a remastered dvd is anybody's guess. It was obviously one of the imitators that came out just after A CHINESE GHOST STORY, a lesser film but still quite enjoyable. (and I have no idea about the Korean dvd which is what your post is really about, lol).

Am i the only one that couldn't watch this movie all the way through? I just got so bored, it wasn't going anywhere. I had higher hopes for it when i bought it coz I like Yuen Biao and I like Chinese Ghost Story style movies.

It's directed by Wu Ma, which is reason enough for caution!

um, you have looked at his list of director's credits, right? I's say the majority of them are at least respectable efforts.
A handful are actually quite good.

Yeah, but what I've seen of his films (Dead and the Deadly being the exception), they come across as VERY dull
That said, I really want to see his Wrath of the Sword and Deaf Mute Heroine
