Just got the R2 release of Flash Point today. I'll go through things quickly:

The Good:

Picture - shows more information from all sides which the HK DVD doesn't (its picture format has "black lines" present on the sides which blocks what you should see otherwise)

Subs - Ported directly from the HK DVD, but I noticed some lines being re-subbed properly and intact to each other that otherwise goes less explained as well as separately (from one piece to the other) when it's meant to be whole lines on the HK DVD. This great subtitling also goes for the extras as well.

Audio - Includes a DD 2.0 stereo track which I find very pleasant!

The Bad:

Picture - Slightly blurred compared to the HK DVD.

Audio - DTS missing and the DD 5.1 track seems a bit muffled compared to that on the HK DVD.

That's a huge point over the Dragon Dynasty DVD, which just ported the HK subs and didn't even bother to fix the numerous awkward phrasing throughout.

By the way, does the UK release have this trailer :http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Js5_iOOhcH0

Unfortunately, it's (international trailer I suppose) not on the R2 release either. I was hoping that Cine-Asia would include it, that and the showreel (the one using Nonpoint's Bullet With A Name song).

btw, I put up a DVD comparison between it and the R0 release at BulletsnBabes forum: http://bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/viewtop...5d6727190df6cf9

Actually....no. The DD subs are actually quite different from the Deltamac. They have been completely recreated for the thatrical release and that's what appears on the DVD. The translation does get quite too literal at times coming across as a little 'chinglish'.

I haven't seen the Deltamac and that's what a review said. Whether the case, no matter. The subs are severely subpar on the DD disc.
