Although Toei released the TV series in its entirety on laserdisc in the late 90s, this is still welcome news.
For those that don't know, Akumaizer 3 was a very wacky 70s tokusatsu TV series inspired by the Three Musketeers.

CHARACTERS
Zabitan

Ibiru

Gabura

…and the lovely Darunia

WEAPONS
Swords
Each member of Akumaizer 3 has his own sword with its own name. At the beginning of each episode, our heroes yell the names of their trusty swords: "Zarado!" "Erado!" "Garado!".
Additional weapons…
Zabitan can fire bullets from his shoulders.

Ibiru has a gun.

Gabura has a ball and chain.

Gabura with his ball and chain getting attacked by baddies armed with nunchakus. One baddie even tries to choke him with nunchakus. You are not going to be able to choke someone whose neck is that big!
Gabura can also transform into an ostrich-like bird (similar to Big Bird but stronger and stupider)…
Akumaizer 3 before the transformation…

Akumaizer 3 after the transformation…

A monster gets to feel the raw power of Gabura's beak...

Our feathered friend has met his match and is placed in a headlock by a different monster...

...and then the monster knocks over a power pole on top of our feathered friend

Don't worry kids. Gabura is okay.
TRANSPORTATION
Akumaizer 3 at the controls of a…

giant blowfish-like aircraft…

...that is able to disguise itself as a pirate ship!

They also each have their own motorcycle. If need be, the motorcycles can be combined to form the "Gari Bird".
All three on their motorcycles…

Time to begin the process to combine the three motorcycles…

The three motorcycles have been combined to form the almighty Gari Bird…

DVDS
Volume 1 containing the first 10 episodes will be released on October 21. The first pressing of volume 1will include a box to hold all of the DVDs. As is Toei's usual practice, a new volume will probably be released every month. There are 38 episodes in total so there should be four volumes in all.
Also coming out on the same day from Toei is volume 1 of the 70s TV series Ganbare! Red Vickies. Volume 1 will including a Red Vickies baseball cap!
