As most know, this is actually Kadokawa's 2nd Yusaku Matsuda DVD box set. The first one was released in 2000 and contained all of his Kadokawa films except for Proof Of The Man (Proof Of The Man was sold separately). This new box set includes all four of his Kadokawa films.

The DVDs in the new box are the same as the old DVDs from 2000. The only difference is that two extras featuring Hikari Ota have been added:
1) The Resurrection Of The Golden Wolf DVD now has an interview with Hikari Ota
2) The Beast To Die DVD now has an audio commentary by Hikari Ota.

The menus on these DVDs have been modified to add buttons for the new extras:

-A 18th Y Project: Life With Yusaku Matsuda button. This is only for those that pre-ordered the box set. The button is taped to the top of the box set.

If you're like me and don't care for interviews or audio commentaries by individuals not involved with the production of the film, there really isn't any reason to get the new box set if you own the old box set. The DVDs are pretty much the same and the photo book that came with the old box set is better than the poster that comes with the new box set.

If you don't own the old box set, the new box set is a great deal. 4 DVDs for a list price of 10290 yen. You can find it cheaper at Amazon and HMV:

*The box is supposed to resemble a cardboard package. Kadokawa put these stickers on the outside to give it an authentic look.

No photos of the inside of the photo book because the binding is very stiff and I didn't want to crack the binding while trying to take a photo of the inside.
